Past Research Assistants 

Student employment and involvement on the Research Forest is critical for the implementation of multiple research projects and the collection of valuable forest resource monitoring data. The CNC Research Forest is grateful for the past Research Assistants Caleb Garriot, 2017; Julia Hansenauer, 2018; Alex Von Geyer and Ola Afolabi, 2019; Hannah Fraser and Sonja Cunningham, 2020; Natasha Lebiadowski and Marie Eve Lavoie, 2021; Kerry Anderson and Carter Reed, 2022; Zahara Baugh-Lussier and Janelle Wright, 2023. The assistance from these NRFT students has been such a big part of the success of research projects on the CNC Research Forest.

Future Research Assistants

Students with an educational background in Natural Resource studies can expect to work in a diverse environment with exposure to numerous research and monitoring projects focused on forest biodiversity and forest stewardship operations. Typical summer positions start in May and end in August, with the option to extend for those who are available in the fall.
